Description

Ben Kornburger & Bros. Co Brewery opened in 1911 and closed in 1920 - it was open for 9 years only - Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This bottle has a lot going for it - although there is extensive 'rubbing' on the surface embossed areas, there are no chips on the exterior, with the exception of a few tiny (1.5-2mmm) point-chip on the edge of the lip. There is however a serious fracture in the glass, starting from the 'N' in 'KORNBURGER' and butterfly-ing out up, down, left and right for approximately 1 inch in each direction. This seems to be internal (not on the surface) to the glass. The manufacturing produced seams on either side of the logo area, extending all the way to the top of the bottle. There are period flaws in the glass, including some waving and small bubbles. Brown 12oz glass size.
